During the winter months, it feels natural to slow down, to add more rest and relaxation to my routine as a way of maintaining my physical and mental wellbeing.
Particularly as we navigate our way through a Pandemic, staying well is essential. Finding ways to soothe our nervous system and support our immunity is vital.
Restorative yoga
Restorative Yoga is a wonderful practice to cultivate relaxation as an antidote to stress and dis-ease. The state of conscious relaxation doesn’t just happen, it has to be nurtured and encouraged. Learning to relax is the key to living well
Restorative Yoga is a prop-heavy practice, using bolsters, blocks, blankets and cushions to create a supported environment for the body.
It is currently my favourite class to teach and I love the fact anyone can do it. You don’t need any yoga experience or expensive Yoga equipment.
